We had a fantastic last night in Noto thanks to Roberto & the rest of the staff at RitroVino. Great music, delicious food, perfect suggestions for wine & cocktails, and a genuinely cool vibe sitting on the tiny patio outside... only steps away from the main street, but truly a hidden gem. Roberto took his time to share with us his passion for local cuisine, offer us tastings of anything that piqued our curiousity (Amaro di asparago!), & even curated a playlist for us as we delved into friendly conversation about our favorite music. We ordered some sandwiches and wine. They have lots ow wine options that are delicious, most of them local wines (for sure try Nero D’Avola and some from Etna). ECCELLENTEVerificata Un angolino speciale Questo locale,in pieno centro a Noto,è una perla. Un posto piccolino,accogliente,curato nei minimi dettagli,in cui il proprietario ti accoglie come in casa. Abbiamo fatto aperitivo insieme al mio compagno e la nostra famiglia,tutto davvero sfizioso,dal ragù di cinghiale al ragù di maiale,e per me che sono vegetariana un’ottima bruschettona con capuliato. Tiny hole in the wall on a side street with 4 vertiginous tables on a sloped street and a few more on the piazza below. Chraming staff who offer a sip of the House bottles to help you decide on the wine. Best enjoyed with a platter of preserved fish or local cheeses The latter get served with a sweet jam - for the milder ones and a chocolate and blackcurrant preserve of the stronger stuff. I know the Latins go for that sort of combination but I still find it odd, although - Port and Stilton? Huge selection of wines by the bottle.
